I am supposed to go to NOVA this friday.
But, I didn't even decide whether I have to go there or not for my interview..
I heard that whenever the hurricane comes, the students have to evacuate the city. Is that true? at least there should be 5~6 hurricanes every year.
and If I get a florida licence, where can I work besides florida state.
I was already accepted into NYU. Do you think that it's worthy of going there even though I have an acceptance letter from NYU?
Thank you~!

I've lived in Miami nearly all my life. The students don't have to evacuate the city every single time the huricane comes. But you rather have to take the proper precautions to protect yourself. If your living in a dorm or appt, then there are not much concern. Is NYU better than NOVA? I don't know. But Miami/Ft. Liquordale is a nice place to live.

I was here this summer and nobody around the school had to evacuate, except people who lived in trailer homes (and even then, it wasn't for every single hurricane). Hurricanes can be a bit scary, but if you take precautions and keep yourself informed, it's not that big of a deal. It's a normal part of life down here and people just learn to deal with it. I think it's worse from the outside looking in.

I think it's worth giving a try. You might benefit from coming to your interview and talking to students who have had to deal with the whole hurricane situation.I personally prefer Nova over NYU.
