While I was taking a shower, I was thinking about the dreaded DNP vs. MD/DO (which by far isn't exactly a real battle), it had suddenly occured to me to ask this question.

-Do you have to defend a thesis and/or capstone project? 😕

-I would assume so, but seeing as I am only in Undergrad school, I wasn't so sure.

ps: It is not my intention to open a new can of worms on the whole DNP/MD thing so try to refrain from that (even though it may be hard...)

I suppose it depends on what you mean when you say 'defend'.

Some schools require a thesis. Usually the more research oriented ones. You can look in the MSAR for specifics.
