I have not taken the DAT yet. Will AADSAS hold on to my application untill i have submited my first score, or will it be sent out and it is my duty to have the ADEA send out the scores to the individual schools once i have taken the test?

AADSAS will send your application once you submit it, either with or without your DAT scores. All you do is just state when you plan on taking the DAT on your AADSAS. Now ADA is the agency that will send your DAT scores to schools you apply to, they are the one in charge of administering the DAT.

Exactly, and the ADA sends scores right after you take the test. It usually takes about a maximum of 2 weeks to get to the schools that you requested. The ADA is very quick and if you ever have to call them are very easy to deal with.

I have heard the AADSAS doesnt send out there applications untill beginig of June even if you submit on the first day it is open. Is this true?

That;s not true. AADSAS is very slow and it usually takes more than a month to deliver.

Yes this is true however, you arent answering cowsgomoo's question.

The truth is it depends.

AADSAS does not send out your application until early June (like you though) even if you submit it on May 15 (I think).

When it gets to the schools is anyone's guess. I submitted my AADSAS on July 1st and it got to most schools by around August 1st. The problem arises when you apply late which apparently you arent going to do. Because there are more apps at the later stage (mid-August until school deadlines) it takes longer for an app to get to a school so instead of 4 weeks it takes 6-8 even 10 weeks to get to the schools

That depends on the number of applicants. They send out batches, and typically there is a set number of applications needed to fill a batch. Regardless, it takes 2-3 weeks from the onset for them to mail out the first batch. It may take even longer (think 3-4 weeks) if they are using a completely new system.

Subsequent mailings typically take 3-4 weeks as well (for example, AADSAS submitted first week of October, but sent to schools in early November).
