Quick ecc activities question

if you list these all go under the work activities section....

Is the 15-slot activities list more important than the work activities section? or are they weighed the same?

Work/Activites is section 5 of the AMCAS, and encompasses both work and other activities. I think you might be under the impression that there are two such sections, but there is only one.

And yes, tutoring OChem is a great thing, definitely list it (there is a specific 'teaching/tutoring' category for experience classification 😉).

As the poster above said, there is only 1 area on the application that allows you to input extracurricular activities (including all clinical, work, volunteer, tutoring, ect. experiences). You get 15 slots total. Also, I know, it wasn't your question, but I wouldn't really list either of those as leadership experiences, unless you organized the entire tutoring system or supervised other lifeguards.

ok...
and is there like an Awards list ?

I was on the Deans list does that go under one of the 15 slots?

Awards are included with everything else, so yes Dean's list would be one of the 15 slots. However, I believe this to be one of the most commonly omitted awards when people have to cut things to fit the last three years of their lives into 15 categories. This is mainly because, your GPA can speak for itself.

do we have to fill all 15 slots? i mean i counted my activities which are about 10... but they r all meaningful 😎

You definitely do not have to fit all 15 slots. Quality trumps quantity every day of the week, and twice on Sunday. I would imagine that some of the most successful applicants don't fill them all.

of course not, I've heard the average is 6-8.
