Quick Hopkins question

On the mail in form it asks you to "paste" a photograph of yourself on, but it also asks you to write your name and SSN on the back... why would they want you to glue something AND write something on the part they can't see?

By paste does it mean staple or what? I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, but I can't figure it out... maybe I'm not cut out for med school 😎

Write your name and SSN, just in case the picture falls off the sheet. I think

I used rubber cement. Strong but easily removable...just in case.
