Quick question about acceptable behavior during clinical rotations

I'm currently doing pre-clinical rotations. I was assigned FM, EM, Ortho, Pain MGMT, and OB. I only have 5 days in the ER. Is it acceptable to ask my supervisor to set me up with an ER doc that I can shadow on the side (nights/weekends)? I'll still meet all the requirements for the program.

My "pre-clinical rotations" are basically just shadowing. I don't start med school until the fall.

You're quite enthusiastic about all of this. I don't see why you can't but you really should enjoy your nights and weekends for now. There's plenty of time to spend those working in your future.
