Quick Question! Need Advice!

How do I determine if a school frowns on getting Letters of Intent?

I am thinking of sending them to LECOM-Erie but am not sure how that will come off to them.

If I do, who should I send them to? The admissions coordinator? The interview panel?

Hopefully you used the plural "letters" and "them" accidentally... One would hope you aren't planning on sending LOI's to everyone.

I would think it highly unlikely that a school "frown" upon an LOI... the value they place upon it, however, may differ greatly from school to school. One would think that if your application were in a 'dead heat' compared to another application, your letter might very well make a difference when the admissions committee meets. Have excellent reasons for wanting to go to that particular school, make sure your letter rings with truth.

A letter of desperation versus a letter telling them why the school is perfect for you, and why you would accept THEIR acceptance over all others, are two different things.

Sending the letter to the Dean of Admissions would be appropriate.

Thanks for the advice. I am thinking of sending it to the Dean or Admissions Coordinator (I spoke with her quite often). Should I send the letter Monday and wait a couple days for the letter to get here before I send my scores?

Any help would be great!

Your MCAT scores are sent to schools automatically, if that's what you mean??

You send your scores to the D.O. schools through AACOMAS. They are only automatically sent to the M.D. schools through AMCAS.
