I just felt like their answer is completely wrong. It's showing that the alcohol is most shielded when it should be the least shielded. What do you guys think?

Their answer is correct. When tackling these problems, I would try not to focus too much on the alcohol. They have a range from 2-5 ppm and are pretty variable. Instead, you'll notice there are two triplets under 4 ppm, which is demonstrated by the correct answer. Each carbon has 2 H's that split one another creating this, with the carbon attached to the hydroxy group more down field. None of the other answers show this splitting pattern.

Yah I just saw the integrations as 5 2 2 1. your only option was the correct answer from that since all the rest have a methyl which would be 3.
