Wow. A lot of people are very focused on applying at the first possible second. I thought it didn't make much difference. I plan on submitting a few days from now, if only to avoid the rush and make sure everything goes through okay.

Relax.

Have a beer. Or two.

It does not matter.

No one will care.

Many programs will not even look at apps for a few weeks.

I was thinking of saying that I was going to reject anyone who applied too early/quickly as obviously too uptight for my program, but then decided that would be like yelling "Fire!" in a crowded movie theatre

Based on your interviews, you probably did not heed your own advice, and applied the first second the doors opened... interesting... Otherwise, how would one get a 9/4 interview when he applied days after 9/1???

Ha. Pwned!

I wonder if it was reverse psychology or something. Hey you guys need to chillax and just apply later on and make sure all your Ts are crossed and your Is are dotted.

*scrambles to get app in the minute ERAS opens*

I waited a few days and submitted Thursday night (9/3). I certainly didn't mean to stir up any animosity, nor did I intend to be critical of people submitting at the first opportunity. I was just surprised - most of my friends haven't submitted yet.
