Hello Everyone, I'm taking the DAT soon and I had a couple of questions.

1) How similar is topscore to the actual DAT?
2) How similar is the practice test they send you with your regisitration?
3) What is a good book to use for studying the math section?
4) Was there anything that surprised you in the biology section?

I really appreciate the feedback!

Ahh there is no need to double post my friend, we all have eyes we can see your questions on the other part of this forum. I even posted a reply to you.

Sorry, I thought I posted the other message in the wrong forum and was worried nobody would respond.

Thank you so much for the advice. That helps out a ton!

The topscore CD was a good supplemental for studying for the DAT's but I don't think it was as helpful as the Hyperlearning materials were. I recently took the DATs and I focused on the materials presented in the hyperlearning or princeton review practice examines. Some questions on the practice exams were actually on the real DATs. The PAT portion is difficult needless to say but I scored an 18 on it without putting in too much time so I would advise you to put in a good 1-2 weeks on PAT alone and you should be more than fine. Topscore is good too, so just know all the questions and the reasoning to the answers and you should do fine.

Catherine, if you don't sharing with the board your DAT scores and the materials you used in preparing for it. How long did you study also. Thanks
