The opening was posted in the March 17, 2005 issue of NEJM classified section. I think it is a great opportunity for those in internship now contemplating a career in neurology.

Hi there,

Just curious, why wouldn't UCSF have posted this at sfmatch.org under immediate vacancies? Is there a disadvantage to them in doing so?

maybe sfmatch.org hasn't been updated recently?

or maybe UCSF is "above" posting it there/a little embarrassed? ok, i'm asking to get banned by our new mod now ...

Hey, this is no shock. Frankly, I was expecting a mass exodus after they heard I was coming their way.

I guess some poor sucker was probably lured away by the sirens of internal medicine during his/her internship. Likely to crash on the rocky shores of CHF, COPD, and carcinoma-of-the-week...

I bet that it will appear on sfmatch.org in due time. I think that if they were really embarassed, they would have gone straight to sfmatch. After all, the whole world reads NEJM. They are probably just trying to return the favor to IM by stealing away one of their best and brightest. 😀
