Is it advisable to disclose any indication of race/ethnicity in the application? Despite statistical minority in veterinary school, can it possibly work against you in applying? What if your name clearly gives away your ethnicity? Thanks for your comments!

I think its really up to you. In my opinion, disclosing your ethnicity is a personal choice. If you feel uncomfortable about it, by all means, leave it out. It really is up to you. I don't think you will get a thumbs up or down either way. I disclosed mine and actually have some interesting details in my life that include my ethnic origin. In fact, representing your ethnicity/race in a profession that may be underserved by specific ethnic/race groups could be a very good thing. Diversity is always a very good thing. It can be a neat addition to your personality. Best of luck on your application🙂

Unless you're a goblin I doubt it could ever hurt. If anything it would help.

Actually I'm a goblin and it boosted my chances 10 fold.

On a more serious note: Schools tend to embrace diversity from what I've noticed. It could never hurt and if anything it could help to solidify their decision to accept you.
