I should feel better about that, but this process is so random. I have invites from probably the two best programs in the country, in harvard and MD anderson, you would think I would have lots of interviews by now. nope. I still only have 7 invites so far... If the worst program in the country offered me a spot outside the match right now, I would take it. I just want to match, so each rejection is very frustrating. I wont be comfortable until I get a few more invites.

Yeah. . . i'm in the same boat - did you do any away rotations that you feel like you did really well during or do you have a home program. . . in other words, are there programs to which you feel that you have an 'in' even though it might be small??

The whole thing is insane. . . and f'ing expensive. . . 😀

I dont have a home program and my school is lowly ranked. I did one away and I dont think they have sent out invites yet. I dont even know if I did that great a job or really impressed them while I was there because I was still pretty clueless about radonc at the time, but hopefully I at least get an interview there. That would give me 8, the "magic number."

Credit to UVA. They didn't try to sugar coat or *****-foot around it. Title of the e-mail was "Not selected for interview." Hey Mayo, are you taking notes? 😀

Seems like I've hit a bit of a dry spell. Probably jinxed myself when I had to turn down wisconsin's invite due to scheduling conflicts - nothing but rejections since. 🙁

Guess I cant really complain anymore. 10 interviews, 12 rejections so far. 44programs yet to give me any kind of response. But any other interviews are gravy at this point...

The subject line of the email was "Interview at Washington University." I was pretty excited, only to see that I got kicked to the curb! 🙄 CHEAP!

I received the e-mail rejection 3 times, twice on Sunday and once today...I get it...I am being rejected!!
 
O.k. so these guys rejected me like a month ago. Well now I just got an e-mail telling me i'm on their waitlist for an interview.
