While I know rad onc research is essential to becoming a competitive applicant, I am a little unclear on what falls into this category and how programs differentiate between something that is or isn't rad onc related.
Obviously, something with radiotherapy in the title is rad onc related, but I did some retrospective reviews with a rad onc PI that are radiation therapy-focused in content, but the titles do not make this clear (the titles are something like "disease x: outcomes and prognostic factors after 25 years"). How would this be viewed?
