There may be a thread hidden somewhere in this forum...but just wanted to start a thread for those of us who are starting rad onc this year. To faculty/residents: What the pros/cons and general thoughts and feelings are on the various general rad onc textbooks:

1. COX/RADIATION ONCOLOGY: RATIONALE, TECHNIQUE, RESULTS
2. GUNDERSON/CLINICAL RADIATION ONCOLOGY
3. LEIBEL/TEXTBOOK OF RADIATION ONCOLOGY
4. PEREZ

btw, I have a new perez for sale if anyone wants it... not the mini perez but the big one. Still in cellophane. never been opened...

new or old versions?

For what it's worth, I have found that once you have any of the major textbooks, what you really crave are ancillary books, like cross-sectional anatomy reference books, surgical oncology texts, portal design, etc.
