Rad tech vs. sonography

Hi, I am looking into applying to sonography school and wanted to see if I could get some answers as to how the current outlook is now for sonographers, I have heard alot about how jobs for sonographers are extremely hard to come by now.....any advice? And is sonography a good stable career?
Also I know that it is an option for an xray tech with a 2 yr. degree to go to sonography school for 1 yr, but is it possible for a sonographer w/2yr degree to go to xray school for 1 yr?
And what does everyone think in general xray tech or sonographer?

But yea, what the fine person above stated.

The short answer is to check job postings in your region of choice and see which one has more opportunities. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you'd probably get just as reliable info for that by asking one of the little old ladies volunteering in the flowershop as you would here.

Pretty sure the flowshop ladies would give more reliable information.
