Hey all,
I am a third year medical student at CCOM and signed up to do an elective rotation at Rush Copley Medical Center in Interventional Radiology this month. I have emailed and called the program coordinator with Rush and she has not gotten back to me. I emailed our program coordinator at CCOM and she has also not gotten back to me. I called the medical center and they have directed me to the HR program, where there is a choice for education services, but the woman isn't going to be back in the office until July 13th and I have called general HR and the person is not in (big surprise its a holiday). I looked at CCOM academic calendar and technically this rotation starts today July 5th, but I looked at Rush's website and it says their clerkships don't start until July 6th. Any advice on what I should do? I don't know where to go nor who to see in a situation like this. Should I just assume my rotation does not start until tomorrow since I am doing it through a Rush affiliated hospital? I just don't want to piss off the people I am going to be working with, but I don't know when I should go in or who I should talk to? any advice is appreciated
