as we move from left to right on the periodic table the radius gets smaller
as you move down the periodic table the radius gets better
two ions with the same electron configuration...the one with the more protons will have the smaller radius...ok now on to barrens

it stated that

Be < Na < Mg

How is Na smaller than Mg seriously now???

and a side note...barren's DAT book has alot of wrong answers in it...ouch....

Its not my book...I just have a few extra mins so I'm at my schools bookstore doing the practice exams on the test prep stuff but I did find one good thing about barrens DAT book is that the chem section is mostly conceptual like the real DAT from peoples responses

just think of this way.. at least you now know enough to point out where the book is wrong.
