It seems as though RadOnc is not a very talked about residency. Why? I have looked into it breifly, and it seems like a great field. Any cooments?
 
Hi AB. Its a terriffic field, not spoken about cos most students dont know about it to speak of. At www.medschool.com I am the Rt-Onc forum advisor. There are more posts than there...but there is a profile of the field. Id be hap[py to answer any questions you have about rtonc.

Hi Steph.

I am also interested in this specialty. How competitive is it to get into this type of program/fellowship? Do you have to apply for the Oncology subspecialty while IN the Internal Med residency or do you apply "jointly" (Int Med/Rad Onc) and progress straight into Rad Onc after the frist 3 years?

Did I get that sequence right? Thanks.
