Rain on my Suit

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
What kind of material is it? Specifically what does the tag on the inside say?

Borrow/buy an unmbella from the hotel? I don't think a bit of water will damage the suit. And plus, you will probably be inside of a building all day. I highly doubt any school will give out campus tour in the rain knowing most of ppl there aren't rain prepared.

Thank you for this. I'm about to be in the same situation soon.

With many off the rack suits, even from companies like Jos. A Bank, padding is "fused" aka glued, rather than sewn in. So, if you get them wet enough, the glue can loosen, causing undesirable rippling in the fabric. If this happens, the suit is basically ruined and cannot be easily repaired.

Yeah. Just make sure you keep the actual jacket in a protector until you arrive at your destination if possible. And invest in a good umbrella (AKA not one that folds inside out easily), and you should be fine.

Is there a mythbuster video about this?
People have been wondering if you get less/justasmuch/more wet by running in rain.
Of course you are in rain less time if you run to a certain place. However, you "run" into more rain while running.
Yup. The answer is "get out of the rain ASAP. " haha
