a/c to FA: inhibits later Na currents, decreasing diastolic wall tensoin and 02 consumption. wiki: inhibits na currents, which decreases intracellular ca2+(wont reach the voltage needed for opneing of ca2+ channels im assuming?) how would it decrease diastolic wall tension? and all of its SE are related to anticholinergic activity ie qt prolongated and constipation. Can anyone clear this up?

okay, so in a uw explanatoin it says its due to inhibitting na influx, and increased activity of the na/ca exchange, so decrease ca intracellularly, decreased contraction- decreased 02 demand.
