So are these "random" bio questions on the DAT like just more in-depth questions or...? Like more in depth physiology/genetics questions, etc? Or is it just like a straight up WTF?!?, something you would not even see in an upper division biology class
Can someone chime in on this?

I can't personally say because I haven't taken my DAT yet, but the consensus of "random bio questions" is that Biology is wayyyyyyyy too broad to remember EVERYTHING, and you are in lady luck's hands. You may get a set of questions that covers a lot of plants and survey of kingdoms, but someone else may get a majority of cell biology. Just luck of the draw.

I will agree with roquer2, bio is just way too random.
I studied the CliffsAP bio inside out, and there were MANY things that weren't on it.

I may have gotten a crappy test/bad luck/whatever, but I'll confirm that bio is the most random section you will ever get.
