Does anyone know when 4th year Army HPSP students need to turn in their rank list for residency/FYGME? What is the process? When is the deadline? Up to what point can you change you rank list? The HPSP handbook says the list will be available in July but when is it due back to the Army?
Thanks.

When I applied it was all due in October. You need to be all over those wackos in Falls Church. They are not like the student affairs people at your school. You will see that DOD civilians in general REALLY like their 8-5 jobs which means, they are home by 5 and leave home at 8. You have to be on top of this application and everything else or you can and will get SCREWED. This should be your mantra for you entire military serivce.

This may be a stupid question, but does anybody know if program directors have any idea how you rank them? Like if I want to do one thing, but know I probably won't get accepted, will my number 3 choice in a different area of medicine (1 & 2 going to first choice field) have any idea that I ranked them anything less than first?

Thanks much!

They aren't suppose to but I have heard there may be a little talk that goes on. I for one am interest in FP and OB/GYN. I fully expect to apply to 2 OB/GYN programs and 3 FP, just not sure which of the two I will list first.....

In other words I would rather do either in a place i want to live that do my preference in Atlanta....

They absolutely all know everything and they compare notes to check for consistency. This is especially true at the Navy internship level, where all the PGs sit at one table. For the others, I wouldn't chance telling them different lines.

I wanted location more than internship type too and it worked out.
