So I starteed to listen to everyone on here and am registering for Step 2CK (I have a low step 1 applying for psych). My problem is as follow: In Oct/Nov/Dec, I can only take one month off for interviews. Nov is a pretty flexible research month so I'd take off Oct or Dec. I'm debating between (A) taking off Oct to take CK on Oct 22nd, which would be back mid-Nov but in this scenario I would have to interview while doing some research and on an elective in DEC (B) taking CK in mid-Nov and (score back in early Dec) and having Dec off for interviews.
I now know that Step 2 is important for actual rank lists, but how important is it to have at time of interview? Do programs make a preliminary rank after your interview or just take notes and look at everything again before it comes time to submit official rank list? Should I go with option A or B?
