I thought I'd start this thread since it is close to ROL time. i would like some advice. bear in mind i am an IMG and Harvard and UCLA-NPI are not options to me.

I really liked the following programs:

UC Davis in Sacramento (beautiful balanced nice program; great academic experience in great area)
Thomas Jefferson in Philly (great program with good psychotherapy; hidden gem; good psychotherapy, pain and sleep)
UCLA-Harbor (great people, decent call, great clincal training, good tie-in with ucla, well-balanced)
Wash U in St. Louis (great program with excellent facilities with top-notch research; friendly yet exciting, only prob is they r anti-psychodynamic)
USC (similar to harbor but with more work)
U Colorodo Denver (good program in good location)
UN Las Vegas (purely do to location and lack of call)
New York Medical College Vallhalla (decent program close to NYC)
University of Louisville (good program with great psychotherapy)

these programs r good back ups:

St. Elizabeth/ caritas in Boston
UN Reno
Rosalind-Franklin Chicago
SLU
UCSF Fresno
Metro Health cleveland
henry ford detroit
ucla-bakersfield

I have the following coming up that I think I may like:
UNC
Cedars-Sinai
university of maryland/pratt

I am an img and have so far been on 35 interviews. since i am single i omitted (but will rank all) the ones in small towns. also i omitted those crappy sweatshops (namely in nyc.) i still have 9 more left. (i recieved 48 invites)

anyhow i am worried about how i will rank my top choices. so far davis is #1. recently tempted by ucla-harbor and thomas-jefferson. i need help in rankin them. any thoughts???

Not sure what you need help with or what you're worried about. Putting together a ROL is a personal decision.

I am glad to see that someone else went to Louisville for an interview...I thought this was a great program and a hidden gem.

Best of luck.

just needed some feedback on some of the programs. i have been to some other hidden gems. especially wanted to know about thomas jefferson in philly and uc davis in sacramento. both seem to be great programs yet i have not heard much about them here.

speaking of hidden gems. i cant believe noone is talking about george washington in DC. best psychotherapy training south of the mason dixon and public policy elective and govt exposure to mental health care and policy your third yr. not to mention awesome child psych (i think) as it is connected to children's national!

how about wash u st. louis. another program i love but i also would like a good psychotherapy training. is this possible at wash u?
