Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to this forum but I have been following a lot of what has been said and done here since I was in undergrad. I applied this year only for OBGYN and having finished my interviews, I have begun forming my rank list.

I know how I will be ranking most of my programs, however, there are two programs in particular I am having a hard time distinguishing between. The first is Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, CT and the other is Morristown Memorial in Morristown, NJ.

Both programs, in my opinion, appear to be very strong and I left both interviews with a very positive impression of the institutions missions and commitment to educating their residents.

Any additional information/opinion on these two programs to help me make a well informed decision is much appreciated.

Thanks for your help! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THIS YEAR! 😀

Unfortunately I do not have personal information about the insiders view but I do know many who have graduated and are happy c their training from each program. I would make a list of pro cons factor in cost living, hours on call, proximity to family, advances in training ie onc, mfm uro gyn
Good luck

I thought Morristown is a brand new residency program, accepting their first class in the last few years (the residents at my school used to rotate at MMH and last year stopped because they finally had chief residents). I have experience at MMH as a student (NJMS rotates there for Gen Surgery) and it is a wonderful hospital, excellent facilities, excellent ancillary staff... it is a private, university affiliated place, so you don't get much autonomy in surgery, can't speak much for the OBGYN program.
