Ranking question: UVA vs. Bayview

I am having difficulty ranking these places for IM residency. What have you heard from these places? any major weakness vs strengths? Any input would be appreciate it. how would you rank them? Thanks

This is my list of 6 top choices

UVA, BAYVIEW, EVMS, MCV , WHC and CHRISTIANA

UVA > bayview > MCV >>> others

UVA is the best known and respected. The one drawback is that it doesn't have a ton of voluem. Bayview is a great program related to Hopkins but is a community program.

MCV is a great mid-tier university program but I think that bayview's link to JHH is what makes it a bit better.

WHC is kinda mediocre. Honestly the DC programs aren't that strong.

i'll vouch for uva... it's a great place to do IM residency. tough at times, but that's true of IM at any academic center, and the atmosphere/environment is really good. i don't have experience with the other schools.

for the record bayview is not a community program - it's highly integrated into the rest of the hopkins system with majority of hopkins residents and fellows doing their rotations there.
