I was curious what you would consider a good enough score on the dat in the QR and RC sections. Specifically what grade would you need to get in order for schools to not be concerned? Thanks

Also what would be a decent PAT score, a score range that most dental schools want to see from accepted students?

Why don't you just visit the webpage of the DS's your interested in applying too and look there? They have all the information you need, including the minimum score of each section you need to be considered a competitive applicant. The score's vary for each school. Obviously you want to score as high as possible. Also, you might want to check out predents.com

It is so dependent on the school and on the rest of your app. There is no right answer to these questions.

For example, if you got a low score on just one section like QR and did great on everything else, you might sneak in with a 15 or 16. However if the rest of your app is very average this could be a red flag.

Another example...some schools do not care about PAT and you could get a 16 with no problem. A school like UofP puts more value in the PAT and wants to see 20+.

Very school dependent and even within a school very specific to your application.

Everyone's spot on... you'll be evaluated individually so scores can definitely slide... For example I know a friend who scored a 23 overall on his DATs with a 16 in PAT; still got into many dds programs
