RC on DAT

I have been doing RC using CRACK DAT and TOP Score....they are 2 total different tests in my opinion.
The Crack DAT has everything in it. it asked u about details, application, tone, main idea, logic etc.
Whereas the Top Score so far has only asked me about details. That's it?!?! I ve only taken test 1 & 2 tho...so maybe the following tests will be different.

I get btwn 14 & 17 on the Crack DAT but get 19s on the Top Score.

What will the real DAT be like? just details or everything else like it is on the CRACK the DAT test?

From what I heard it's mostly detail questions, like directly from the passage, and couple of tone questions - like 2~3 a passage.

I used Top Score but not Crack DAT. I took the DAT on May 29th. In my opinion, the RC on the real DAT is harder than the one on TS. It more sounds like your Crack DAT description 🙂

I got 22 on all three topscore tests and a 21 on the real thing (for RC). I would say the real thing is slightly harder, but there were far more detail questions than tone questions. I have no experience with Crack DAT reading.

I did not use either of those practice tests, so I can not compare it to those. For me, a little less then half the questions were detail. There was a good number of logic questions. Only one or two tone and main idea.

after getting around20-21 for topscores and datqvault for RC i havent been studying for RC
but this post makes me worried about RC............. DAT in 5 hours!

can anyone comment on passage length and detail on the actual DAT? crack reading passages arent too bad to read in comparison with qvaults which seem longer and use a alot of crazy terms that just throws u off, but qvaults questions are mostly s&d whereas crack has more logic inference tone etc...

good luck to both u guys and no sense in worrying about it now! just try to stay calm and take it as it comes.. use ur strategy and if it doesnt work on the first passage use a backup strategy which would probably be reading the passage lol
