Hi guys!

I am planning to write the DAT on July 14, 2008. I am wondering if there is anyone who is a "weaker" reader like myself that did well on the DAT RC section. If so, please share the info on how I should approach preparing for this section as I have nothing else other than the Kaplan MCAT package.

Well I am similarly bad at RC but getting better, I can suggest that you should try reading the passage fast then going to questions with the passage very fresh in your mind (because you read it so fast), but this may no longer apply since the RC is containing more and more interpretation questions.

I consider myself to be a weak reader and I did fairly well on the RC section(20+). I think you should just practice reading news articles and practice retaining the information you've read. Also, practice tests helped prepare you for the kinds of questions they ask.
