RC strategy for slow readers

I am a fairly slow reader especially when it comes to scientific reading. I have tried snd and it works to a degree but I feel like some questions are trick questions for people using snd and it will lead me to the wrong answer. Anyone have a strategy that doesn't envolve reading the whole passage word for word but is better than snd?
