So I am about a month out til I take the DAT, and I just did my first RC Bootcamp test and got a 16 and so now I'm nervous because I honestly don't really know how to study for that section. Studying science and math is simple and straightforward to me. So are there any of you who were in my position or do any of you have any suggestions on how to get better at this section? I only have bootcamp for practice and am thinking I should probably get some more practice tests. Which would be the best to get?

I was there as well because English isn't my first language and I don't read much (I like more action, I get bored reading). I just took 1 bootcamp test. I did a few from Crack the DAT RC and decided not to do more. The real RC is way simpler (the questions were straightforward, small and easy to find/remember from the passage).
They real questions do not ask the same way that bootcamp or Crack the RC asks. It is very different, way simpler. I think they just test if you know how to read and get info from the reading. They do not mean to trick you or give you strange questions.
Good luck!

Oh, really? Good to know. All the same, any recommendations for good practice tests? Did you not like Crack the DAT RC?

Try Qvault free RC test and CDR has a short demo I think. I didn't get BC, but I would recommend saving your bootcamp tests until you are closer to exam time. If I were to do it again, I would probably have gotten Qvault RC or CDR. Topscore is too easy (got a 21,25,29), achiever is really really hard (got a 15,17,14). BC is in the middle of the two in terms of difficulty, but if you have time, it wouldn't hurt to get either qvrc or cdr. Just remember that either one will probably be better than none, and so, don't stress if you read too much conflicting information on here.

Comparing the real test with both of those I would say that the questions asked were very different. These softwares ask many inference questions and some of them require more thinking than the real exam. However, both of them prepare you timing wise and train you to look up for details quickly. So either one you get will help you. I believe bootcamp comes with everything so if you get it for other things you might as well use that RC instead of buying a software just for that section. Remember what you want is to have an idea of how itd be, to find your method and to time yourself. Dont worry about the level of difficulty of the questions. They might not apear that way on the DAT.
