Does anybody know that if any Canadian path resident who finishes residencyin Canada but wants to practice in the US, needs to take the RCPSC path examtoo or only taking the American AP exam would be enough to practice in the US?

I thought Canadian residency made you board-eligible for the ABP as long as you meet all the requirements (autopsy numbers &c.). Check the Bulletin of Information at ABPath.com. Your PD should know, you would probably not be the first to wonder. One thing's for sure, if you are ABP boarded, no one in the U.S. is going to care if you have Canadian boards or not. And if you are not ABP boarded, probably the same remark applies.

Thank you for the reply. I have enough numbers of autopsy (>60).Therefore I should only focus on preparation for the ABPath exam. It makes things easier.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to come and practice in the U.S. instead of staying in Canada after already doing residency there?
