RDH license during third and 4th year

This may not be even remotely possible, but I thought I'd throw the idea out here and see what comes back. I'm looking to make a little extra cash during dental school to pay down some of my loans - is it at all possible to get an RDH license through my relevant coursework in DS so I could work on the weekends cleaning teeth to make a couple bucks? If that's not a possibility, any other thoughts on how to make a few bucks during DS?

More than possible. After you finish your second year coursework and pass part 1 of the national boards you may take the NERB DH liscencing exam. You should be able to do hygiene a few nights a week and weekends during third and fourth year.

If you are in MA, then I believe you can automatically work as a hygenist during 3rd and 4th year.
