Hello!

im an IL resident
DAT 20 AA 20 TS 21 PAT
cGPA 3.3, BCP 3.0

i'm in a biomedical sciences masters program for this upcoming year to help my GPA situation

strong LORs and tons of EC's

does anyone have suggestions?! my gpa is so low so i'm not sure what the best places are. i'd like to stay in the midwest if possible.

Any input would be appreciated 🙂

I dont know all the schools off the top of my head but I heres a list of dental school by state. Pick the ones nearby then look at the spreadsheet by Doc toothache for a reference of avg DAT/GPA, number of seats, and how OOS friendly a school is or isnt.

i hear that they dislike applicants who are from the city! it's probably just a silly rumor but i felt like my stats were too low anyway, right?

It's worth the 150$ you never know what could happen. I made a big mistake not applying to more local schools that I thought I wasn't cut out for and now Im ending up going to a school that has around the same average stats.

i just checked the ADEA book and they take about 1/3 in-staters, which is pretty good!

would it be a waste to add Marquette? I absolutely love Marquette but I know they have crazy high GPA requirements.

I found Marquette to be a less forgiving school...but the more schools you add the higher your chances!

ah yes, i'm hoping for MOSDOH but apparently they won't tell us until JULY. so now i'm just reapplying/throwing some more money into the debt pile lol

i think i'm going to add SIU and Marquette and take out Louisville. Thanks periopocket 🙂

any other suggestions are welcome 😀
