Hey guys I will be reapplying to pharmacy school again this year since I did not get into the on I wanted to last year. I was wondering for the supplemental part of the the application should I change my essay answers or keep the same thing I had last year? The application is asking same questions again this year and it does not say anything about changing it up or not changing it. Any help would be good

Did you get an interview? If so, there is no need to drastically change your essay. I would definitely proof-read it once more and make small changes that will help make it better though (whether its word choice or sentence restructuring to make your thoughts more clear).

I agree. I'm reapplying again myself and the recommendations that I have received from some pharmacy schools is to not drastically change it but put small changes here and there. Also put how different you are compared to last years cycle (i.e. what have you learned from going through it). You can add that last part at the end.

good luck!

I did not get an interview last year from them because of my course work, they never commented on my essay. The thing is, I don't know if I should put down how different I am from last year because its not asking anything about that???

When I was an admissions committee member, I personally and many of my colleagues always were impressed with the re-applicant and wanted details on what they had done to improve their application.

It's always tough to reject any student, but rejecting a student twice is doubly hard, I would definitely put in that you are a re-applicant and what you have done over the last year. It does not ask for that I would assume because the number of re-applicants is smaller than original applicants.

Some schools ask and some don't it just depends on the program. You might want to ask the add mins office. Me personally I would want them to look at my past applications to see how much of an improvement I made. I'm proud of the work that I've done so far b/c it shows an upward trend plus going through the cycle (twice) has taught me how to overcome rejection and has just matured me. You want to show yourself in the best light and what better way to show that than to re apply. It shows that your passionate about this profession and that you can overcome adversity.

Thanks RxRunner for your comment. It was very interesting.
