i posted this in the mcat forum, and am posting this here for all the veterans. . . .

i've read many posts suggesting that text books should be used as a supplement to various review books (or vice versa). my question for those who've prepared and taken the MCAT: did you find your review books incomplete? or, did you use your text as a reference for concepts you did not understand? i'm using examkrackers, and, thus far, am very happy with their material--it seems more than comprehensive. i'd rather not go back to the text if the review books are adequate. . . .

Examkrackers is an excellent review book series. These books should be more than adequate for the purpose of comprehension of key concepts. However, you need to get your hands on as many full-length practice tests as possible (Examkrackers books per se do not supply students with enough practice items).

Regarding the college textbook issue, only use college textbooks to clarify your understanding of certain concepts that Examkrackers books poorly explain (there are a few concepts of this sort).

Good luck on the MCAT.
