Hi all,

I took DAT yesterday and I have to re-take DAT after this disastrous scores:

PAT = 15
QR = 18
RC = 18
Bio = 18
GC = 16
OC = 16
TS = 16
AA = 17
😱😱😱😱

Okay. Here are some excuses:

I only had three weeks to study - I wish I had been more realistic when I scheduled for the exam..
Anyway, I couldn't even concentrate solely on studying since I'm taking a class at school.

I think I need at least two and a half month to become confident with the materials. Since I have to move to another city and settle down, etc.. I can start studying sometime around beginning of August. This means, I can re-take it in October.

So my question to you guys is, is it too late for 2008 cycle?

actually its never too late...if you have the money i rather apply...because what do you got to lose than a few hundred bucks.....money really isnt anything right?

Just wondering, did you mean to say that your total science is a 17 rather than a 16? I just did what I thought is the correct calculation for TS and I think you got a 17? Just wondering?

Whether or not it is too late really depends on a bunch of factors.
1. Your GPA
2. Your realistic expectations of a DAT score
3. Your EC's/research experience.

I know a bunch of my friends took their exams later than october and were accepted to top caliber schools(harvard and penn). But realize that they all did very well on their DATs and both had at least a 3.6.

Good luck with whatever you decide🙂

You can't take the average. It depends on how many you get right, for example if you just barely got enough right to get a 18, and baserly got enough to get a 16 twice, then it will be 16.

Yeah I realize that Lonely Sol, but I was just comparing the ADA sample test grade sheet with the scores here and it was pretty well within a 17 when I used the minimum amount right like you say. Thanks though.

Thanks guys for your comments.

To answer some of the questions you asked, my total GPA is 3.53 and Science GPA is 3.36. For EC's/research experience, I have done some tutoring during summer break, shadowing and one year of research at neurobio lab but no publication.
