Re-taking a class

I have a quick question. If I retake a class that I received a "C" in, and get an "A", what happens grade wise is it calculated as 2 separate grades (a 4 credit hour "C", and then a 4 credit hour "A"), or would they average together and be counted as 1 grade (calculated as a 4 credit hour "B"). Thanks

Not averaged together in the way the OP was posting. It counts as a four-credit C and a four-credit A.

Unless you apply to DO programs which replace your grade entirely and don't average them.

DO: takes re-take grade and replaces original
