So I took Calculus my Freshman year at a community college and got a B+, however because my major at the time only required calc 1 I never took calc 2......2 years later and after taking 1 semester off my major changed and I needed to take calc 2....but bc it had been so long since I had been in a math class I decided I should just restart over again and take calc 1 again rather than jumping right into calc 2 and not know wht was going on...so now at the university I took calc 1 again and for various reasons including a horrible teacher my grade was a D+

So my question is when I apply will the b+ or the D+ average into my gpa, and secondly, evn if the B+ affects my gpa should I re-take calc 1 for the third time or just move on to calc 2?????

Bad 😱 move deciding to retake a B+! Anyway, the D+ will be used in your AACOMAS GPA as it is recent. If I were you I'd retake it again for a better grade as a D+ can pull your GPA down a lot.

He's right about the GPA calculation and I agree with the adivce.

If your sci/cum GPA is 3.2-3.3 or lower I'd retake its ince you'd be below average at a number of schools. If this comes up in interviews don't blame your bad professor. You were relearning the material so tough to put a large part of the blame on the prof. Not trying to be a jerk but think of these things pre-interview even though it is not likely to come up.

http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/ is nice. Too bad I did not find out about it until Senior year. 🙂 I suggest going back to that CC and take it with the prof you got the B+ if the prof is still around.

I agree with the above posts, I'd re-take the class with the realization you MUST do well (I.E. B+ or above)

And again if it does come up in an interview, which it probably will especially if you take the class for the third time, dont mention the bad prof, Good luck.
