re-testers, study methods?

i'm sure this is posted somewhere, but i've typed this sentence and have gone too far to search it😎
i took dat 1st time july 05, 20/20/20. it is/was a solid score, but i'm applying again next year, so that score is expired. gotta retake em......👎
i did kaplan course first time, i def. recommend it. but i'm wondering if anyone taking it a 2nd time did kaplan course again? is it worth it? i'm thinking of doing just the online (~$1200, jeez), but the classroom course is only about $100 more. maybe do online and buy the DAT destroyer books? any other suggestions? thanks

i'm debating the same thing about kaplan now. when i called to find out the price, they mentioned an alumnus discount of 10%. be sure to ask about that if you decide to do it again.

Seriously, just think about where you went wrong the first time. Not enough practice tests? Not enough time spent studying? Then go from there.

Hi, if i were you i wouldnt think twicw about geting the DAT destroyer. It has definately displayed great results among many test takers especially in the science areas, i dont think u need to waste any money on kaplan

although i will improve all the areas, i had a different point here. just wanted to see someone who did retest, how they prepared the second time. i'm thinking of doing the kaplan course again, maybe also buy destroyer and achiever (total ~$2k, not cool).

For those of you who are thinking of retaking Kaplan. I would say don't do the online or you'll end up wasting money. I'm the one who's doing that and do not find it as helpful as I thought (same online materials i had 2 years ago..nth changed really). Save your 1200 bucks and buy some schuam's outline biology and 1001 MCAT Questions in Gen chem and orgo chem. They worked for me. With my exam is approaching in less than 24 hours, wish me luck!!
