So there are 101 post that tell us that we should be reading the WSJ (and other papers) health section to stay current on health related topics.

I think it is a waste to pay $3.99 a week for the online version for the paper so I am offing up this work around.

Don't worry it is not illegal.

By the way, from time to time I find articles that don't work with this method. Also, if you have a WSJ account and you are logged in and you try this it will cause problems too.

WSJ is crap. Sign up for medscape instead. It's free, and you'll use it a lot during med school anyway.

I subscribe to about a dozen health/nutrition/medicine/research related accounts on Twitter and am really happy with the amount, timeliness, and quality of the info. For me, it's a vast improvement over traditional web browsing....and it has revolutionized going to the bathroom (reading)....😀

Thanks for this tip, I just bookmarked Medscape's homepage. Are there any other websites you encourage premeds to read as they prep for the MCAT, Isoprop?

scientific american is awesome 🙂

The Wall Street Journal is now owned by Rupert Murdoch. Anything you read there now must be taken in with this in mind.

Medscape isn't really for MCAT prep. I thought you wanted to just keep abreast health/medical news.

I read the New Yorker periodically and it has helped with my reading comprehension, which probably helped for verbal reasoning on the MCAT. I've been reading that for a long time now so I'm not sure if it's a quick fix.

Oh, OK. Thanks.
