Well ... I'm going to the Nebraska vs. VT game this weekend. I called Nebraska to see if I could just take a tour of the school while I was there. Set up a time and everything ... I walked in and the Admission lady gave me a tour. When we got back my file was pulled and I got to talk to the Dean and the Dean of Admissions. Hummmmm ... What just happened!?!?! Good think my wife made me wear my nice shirt, slacks, and shoes! God Bless Her! HA HA! They were really positive and really liked my stats. So ... am I reading too much into this or could I possibly be invited to a "real" interview and possibly be going there next year? Or ... Did they feel sorry for me and had twenty min to spare and wanted to make my weekend better! ... Thoughts?

Sounds good to me, if they liked your stats should lead to a real interview

I did the same thing in January - although I'm not even applying until next year. I was given a tour by Curtis Kuster, the Director of Admissions, and then had what felt like an interview with him. I obviously didn't have a file for them to pull since I haven't applied yet but I did bring my transcript, etc. with me to have him review my progress. Having made the effort to go in and see the school can't do anything but help you! Getting your name out there probably just increased your chance for getting an interview! Congrats && good luck!!

PS. Enjoy the game!! I grew up going to games, and it's amazing. Hopefully you'll being wearing RED! And if you sit next to a really loud middle-aged man, it's probably my dad 🙂

Thanks I think it will be really fun! I played football in college so I love to go to the games! This is my third year trying to get in. Maybe the third time is the charm. HA HA! Maybe I'll see ya in two years. Good luck!

third times a charm... 👍 keep ur fingers crossed! The story is amazing... I've had 2 interviews at the same school and was waitlisted both years. I would love to have the opportunity to sit down and speak to the dean... if they really liked your stats... start preparing for the interview!

good luck!

👍 Cool! I hate getting my hopes up ... but it is so hard not to!
