Does the question follow the passage ? I mean, does it ask about which I need to read end part and then next question is involved at the front.. you know , just wondering if the questions ask back and forth within the passage. I think CDP does it.. and I kinda try to read passage and get the answer of each question unless it asks about the tone.. but sometimes questions it asks are too random so that I have to skip some paragragh and then read for that kind of question.

does it real dat do that too ?

How do you guys do SND because I am really having difficulty doing this so far.. it doesnt let me read straight when I do SND so I get so confused while I am reading the passage.. even more confused than I just read whole paragragh and do SND which took so much time which is the reason I changed the method.

Doing SND from the start, it gives me more time for sure but sometimes it gives me so confused and I got less score.

Guys... help me for this..

I am getiing 15,16,15,14,15... anyone who got this score before and better after SND.. give me any suggestion !!

I don't think you can really S&D your way through in CDR

It has a lot of tone questions that requires you to read passages and understand it well.

I only got 17s on CDR, so don't feel so bad.

No the questions do not have any order to them. they jump around.

CDR is more tone/inference heavy in questions. they force you to actually read. You can't skim for most questions.

Test versions vary. I have not read breakdowns lately and not many people say much on RC. But some do get passages where you can S&D your way through but others like me got tone/inference passages.

My suggestion is to NOT do search and destroy. Read the thing like you would read anything else. You are setting yourself up for failure if you think on the actual exam all you need to do is to search and destroy and you're golden.

It is a reading comprehension test not a keyword search test. You don't need any practice at all to skim for keywords. The main problem everyone seems to come across is time.

If you spend time now practice to read you can improve your speed and can tackle either types of passages.

Exactly! Its a comprehension test and not an S&D test. This is a very important section and you need to do well on it. The passages are not difficult and not very long. You should practice reading in your spare time.

Is CDR harder than the real test? P.s. what was your DAT reading score?

S&D is really bad just like everyone said.

When I took the exam, I just read through each passage and then answered the questions. I had plenty of time remaining at the end to look at the questions and see if S&D would have sufficed. And... S&D would probably have made me get everything wrong.

My topics were actually pretty interesting. And the passages were all very easy to read. (I never read books except for school)
