I SENT A THANK YOU EMAIL AND HAVE A SMALL TYPO I JUST RELAIZED !!! Can I undo it? Do I resend the same thing with it fixed? Do I make a joke bout it? LEAVE IT ALONE? I'm freaking out!!!!!!!!!!! I did so good on interview and don't want to ruin it with this DUMB mistake!!!

Had an error on my thank you letter also and was accepted without any problems. At the end of the day we are human and a mistake shouldn’t over power everything else you have done and is not a predictor of what you’re capable of doing. I wouldn’t make any jokes with a post email however depending on how bad the error was I MIGHT consider sending another email or better yet a personalized hand written card to compliment the email . Most importantly, keep your head up, stay positive and learn from this mistake and continue to evolve. Best wishes!

dude if you are so panic stricken right now, wait till you get to dental school

r-e-l-a-xxxxxxx.

you are fine, they most likely will throw your letter in the trash and won't even remember it when making decisions.

I sent an email to a dental school and then realized there was a typo, sent it again with the correction and they replied to me and I lived to tell the story about it.

This is not a big deal. Usually they determine if you are accepted right after the interview.

Yet you still got the message 😉 or at least I hope you did . Great critique though, you must be killing it in d-school with your great spelling lol

I think it's a worthwhile critique. One typo randomly in a series of communication happens to everybody. However, the OP might be revealing a symptom of a bigger issue with haste/carelessness. The impression could be off, but there's a line somewhere for anybody with common sense, I think. If you received 5 emails from your doctor with 5 separate typos, you wouldn't wonder at all about their attention to detail?

I'd leave it alone if I were you. Chances are they won't notice it/won't care, and sending a correction email will just draw attention to it. You'll be fine, I promise!

I agree with you in that there is a spectrum to be applied when judging mistakes. In the OPs particular situation, I honestly wouldn’t think a typo could derail his chances of acceptance to an institution. I think if the OP was to not be accepted to a school, the reasons behind the negative outcome will have to be on the basis of a set of different criteria much more indicative of the applicant’s qualifications than just a spelling/ gramatical error.
