Hello so I applied this year and did not get in.
I applied super late into the cycle, i submitted my application November (I know this is stupid looking back but I was holding out for the chance I could get into medical school this year and not have to take a year off in between).

My stats are the following:
GPA: 4.0
MCAT: 508
Shadowing: 100+ hours
Clinical Volunteering: 150+ Hours hospital, 1 week mission trip to Haiti
Non Clinical: 75+ Hours with special needs children, 30+ hours feeding homeless, 30+ hours around church and other smaller things
Employment: I am a free lancer that sells java programs, I also day trade stocks
Other: I created an app to help call taxis/DD's when drunk. Over 50k+ downloads on app store.
Florida Resident.
Spanish (Cuban).
Male.

I am hoping for MD but I am also going to apply to some DO schools as a backup.
Schools I applied to last cycle were all Florida schools, tulane, penn state (Not many were still open when i applied so it narrowed my choices).

I plan to reapply to all of those but I am looking for some more schools to apply to.
Also, do you guys find the MSAR to be helpful? I am considering buying it to get a better view into each school.

Any other advice for a reapplicant and how to make my application look better is appreciated.

Buying the MSAR is strongly advised. Applying early the next cycle is the best strategy. Your metrics are fine, but you will need more clinical volunteering hours and leadership positions.

Think about not listing the mission trip to Haiti as one of your 15 activities because Adcoms view it negatively as voluntourism.

@Faha for choice of schools.
