Hey guys,

I applied this year (for the 2005 entering class), but it looks like I might have to reapply. Here is my question: is it smart to skip a cycle, and try to improve your application (apply summer 2006) or is it okay to reapply again now (summer 2005)?

My stats are okay.....3.5gpa(biomedical engineering), 31MCAT, volunteering, extensive research(no pubs)...good LORs...good ECAs....so, I don't really know what else I could do besides a masters program. I did shoot pretty high this year by applying to mostly top 20 schools, AND applying MD/Ph.D. which was a HUGE mistake, because they seriously delay your medical school applications if you get rejected from the MD/PhD programs (like I did).

does anyone think I'd be okay just reapplying now, and maybe applying to more schools from ~25-50? Any thoughts on this? Do most reapplicants apply the very next year, or do they skip a year? If you apply to the same school the very next year, will they look down upon that?

Thanks for the input!

wow...that stinks for not getting in this year...yeah...i think the only thing left is to do look at the MSAR, apply to all the schools you have ANY chance at (i.e. cut the out-of-state state schools that don't accept more than 20% of their class from out of state)...best of luck...do you have an mdapplicants page?
