Hi guys! Anyone here who got rejected from optometry school and is trying to reapply? Or any reapplicants out there who reapplied and got in (or even didn't)? I would love to hear your story. I am reapplying and need some motivation right now.

What have you changed differently since your first application?

Grades?
OAT score?
Clinical experience?

We can give you all the affirmation in the world, but it would be meaningless if you have not done anything to improve your chances.

My roommate was a re-applicant. She improved her OAT, worked I believe with an optometrist during the year in between, and applied earlier.

You'll hear the same story, you have to improve your stats and apply earlier. Good luck!

Best advice is to call the schools that you applied to and ask what you need to improve on. If it's the OAT plan on retaking it. If it's your GPA take some post-bach classes or pursue a one year masters to boost it up.
