Reapplicants: 4+ interviews last cycle and still not get in?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
This is for anyone, in any application cycle.

I was wondering if anyone had 4+ interviews before Dec. 1 and still not get in?

I think if you've got four interviews your headed in the right direction. I know this is impossible to do, but don't worry about it too much, you are in great shape

If you've got 4 interviews and didn't get into either one, there must be a serious problem with your interviewing skills. I would definitely suggest mock interviewing. Good luck to you!

paranoid? I had 3 interviews all after Jan 1 and I got in in 2004. Don't sweat it.

if you have 4+ pre-dec 1st interviews and don't get in then maybe you should analyze your personal skills

jb!🙂

I think you have a problem understanding what he is asking... or maybe I do.

He already has 4 interviews, he is a reapplicant, and he is wondering if anyone else HAS been in his situation BEFORE.

I dont think he is asking WHY he didnt get in as a reapplicant with four interviews.

I think he is not a reapplicant and is just wondering if anyone had 4 interviews last years, didn't get in anywhere, and is reapplying.

I think hes an alien posing as a predental student wondering if anyone is or will be a reapplicant who is also hoping and or planning on getting 4 interviews and such as is. As US Americans, um the iraq...

HAHA! I think you and miss south carolina would be a great couple.

But for real, i'm also wondering how many people get 4+ interviews before dec. 1st and don't get in... especially cuz i'm a reapplicant and in this exact position right now.

Lets all hope the percentage is really really small.

I don't know who miss south carolina is, but judging by her title, i'd say she's better suited for someone like me.😉

I am a re-applicant, but applied at the end of Dec of last year. REALLY late obviously... and got 1 interview and wait listed because classes were already filled.

so I was wondering what were chances of having early interviews and not getting in

don't know exactly, but having an early interview is definitely a positive thing. the school clearly likes you.👍

Hi Everyone. It is great that you already are in the interview proccess. Do you mind to give me some advice about what material you used to take NBDE. I am pretty sure that dental decks is not enough. Thansk.🙂

There's a separate forum whose only purpose is discussing the NBDE. Try there.

It's hard to say - there's no formula to figure this one out. If you're invited for an interview, then your application is definitely strong enough for the school; however, the interview helps the adcoms choose the applicants that they think are best suited for their program based on qualities that can't be measured by your GPA or DAT. The one big advantage to interviewing early is that if the adcoms accept you, you're guaranteed a spot, as opposed to being 'accepted' into a class that is full and can't fit you in.
