Reapplicants, help!

I had BU interview last year, got alternate listed, and finally received a rejection letter on Aug after the class started. I reapplied this year and emailed to the admission office regarding interview invites. Here's what I got from them,

"Since you interviewed last year, you will not be contacted again to interview for this cycle. A decision should be made about your re-application by Dec 1 2010."

I'm confused, is this a good sign or bad sign?

I feel that I didn't do well on the interview last year and i think that's why I couldn't get in. And now they are saying that they are not even gonna give me an opportunity for interview?

My application was not much improved/updated in this cycle cuz I already graduated in 2009.

Has anybody heard of this before?

I wish I could be of help but this is kinda crazy. From what I can gather, I guess they dont want to send an interview invite out for you since you have already met them and the adcom at BU knows you. I guess they will look at is your app. Who knows you may get accepted without an interview this cycle. What was the reason for the rejections last year? I.e dat scores/gpa? or the interview?

I don't know. They never told me the reason of the rejection. They just said they are unable to offer me a seat because of lots of competition.

I applied 13 schools last year, and got only one interview. This year I only applied 5.

My GPA is around 3.45 and my DAT is 20/20/22.

i sure as heck hope that doesnt happen to me at maryland, i interviewed there last year and never heard anything either until i reapplied. but i retook the dat and pulled up my stats a lot. i probably sucked at the interview, i hope i get another chance, its my state school.
